BLOW ME A KISS was stubborn loading and nervous in the stall. RUBY SUNSET, INTIMATE TOUCH, SOHO MAGIC and DORIS DUKE were slow away, lost 2 lengths. Permission was granted for CRUZWITHMECAPTAIN to be led to the start with a lead horse. SOHO MAGIC jumped awkwardly from the stalls and Jockey Minnie reported that this filly was not striding out freely in the running. LA PATINEUSE, GOULDIKOVA (AUS) and CRUZWITHMECAPTAIN were baulked for a clear run between the 600 and 300 metre mark in a tightly bunched field. NONA IN COMMAND (AUS) was forced to ease in a tightly bunched field at the 400 metre mark. INTIMATE TOUCH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Funeka signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that, as the rider of BLOW ME A KISS he failed to ensure that he kept to a straight course parallel to the running rail and relative to the drawn position until a point not less than 200 metres from the start. Jockey Danielson signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention, read with Guideline C, Appendix L, in that he misused his crop by hitting LA PATINEUSE more than three times on consecutive strides in the concluding stages. LA PATINEUSE raced with a tongue tie Vet: BLOW ME A KISS - blood in mouth. MISS CANTONA - cast right fore shoe. INTIMATE TOUCH - speedy cut left hind inner fetlock. SOHO MAGIC short left fore. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
