MAJOR VAUGHAN, KALLANG RIVER and MELSON lost one length. AFRIKABURN lost three lengths. AFRIKABURN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Fayd'Herbe, the rider of KALLANG RIVER (distance), under the impression that there was something amiss with this gelding, eased him out of the race at approximately the 1200 metre mark. AFRIKABURN raced green and was hanging out on the bend. SEVEN CARAT over-raced in the early stages. CAPTAIN BROADHURST was hanging in, in the latter stages. MELSON was hanging out in the latter stages. OLYMPIC BOLT (BRZ) raced green. Jockey Hatt reported that MAJOR VAUGHAN was not striding out freely in the latter stages. The Colours of the Owners of KALLANG RIVER should read: dayglo yellow, magenta spots, dayglo yellow sleeves and cap. Vet: KALLANG RIVER - nothing obvious detected. Trainer Marshall was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board should he find anything amiss with this gelding on return to stables. MAJOR VAUGHAN - mild post race distress.
