RUSHINTOTHEWIND jumped awkwardly, losing one length. The start of this race was rescheduled as requested by Phumelela. The extreme windy conditions caused a problem with the outside running rails between the 600m and 400m marks, and as the rails were unable to be stabilised the starting stalls were moved towards the inside in an attempt to ensure the safety of all the riders in this race. Jockey Behr reported that JEAN'S PRIDE changed stride continually and did not stride out freely in running. KNOCK 'EM OUT, which commenced to give ground, shifted out away from the crop at about the 200m. Jockey Neisius reported that he felt something amiss with VICTORIAN SECRET in running. PRICELESS JEWEL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: JEAN'S PRIDE - returned striding short in front. VICTORIAN SECRET - returned coughing. SWEET ARIA (IRE) - returned having cast the right front shoe.
