TOBE'S FIRST cast the right front shoe on the way to the start, which the farrier replaced, causing a slight delay. DUKE OF DESTINY jumped awkwardly with its head up, losing one length. OUR JET jumped outwards and squeezed out ROBERTSON, which was slow into stride. Jockey Andrews reported that he felt something amiss with TOBE'S FIRST in running. In view of the performances from SHEPHERDS PURSE and TIGER TOPS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings and submit a report. ROBERTSON commenced to give ground in the straight. DOGMATISM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SHEPHERDS PURSE - returned not striding out behind. TIGER TOPS - returned not striding out behind. TOBE'S FIRST - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: PLAYINGTHEENEMY (AUS) - lame left fore. PROF TIGER - lame right hind. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
