UP TO ONES NECK and CIO-CIO (ARG) were stubborn loading. HURRICANE VELVET was slow into stride. Jockey Latham reported that he felt something amiss with DIVINE GRACE. In view of the performance of DIRTYDEALIN MAMMA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Both Jockey Strydom and Assistant Trainer van Zyl were questioned regarding the performance of this filly. They explained to the Board that in their opinion, this filly needs to be covered up in a race. In today's race she had been drawn wide and was unable to get cover throughout. This explanation was noted. ALL IN THE MIND was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The rider of CIO-CIO (ARG) raced with Club Colours. Vet: DIVINE GRACE and DIRTYDEALIN MAMMA - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ALCANINA - incorrectly equipped. This matter to be investigated. SHE'S A LOOKER - off feed. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
