THE ROYAL RUMBA and DOWN UNDER were slow into stride. AMAZING STRIKE and ASPEN both lost 1 length. FORRIES WALTZ was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. FORRIES WALTZ, hanging out, shifted out resulting in MAN FROM MILAN being carried outwards slightly and steadied shortly before the finish. Jockey Kennedy, the rider of FORRIES WALTZ, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. Jockey Cormack reported that THE REAL HERO was not striding out freely in running. ELECTROSHOCK raced green. Due to the performance of KINGMAMBO'S LEGACY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. THE REAL HERO returned post race having cast the left fore shoe. The Ownership of DOWN UNDER should read: Messrs N Jairajh & G H van Zyl; and the Colours are: Black, black sleeves, white spots, collar and cuffs, black cap, white peak. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Delpech stood down due to headache and dehydration. He was replaced on all his remaining rides Vet: KINGMAMBO'S LEGACY - nothing obvious detected. THE REAL HERO - short in front, worse left fore. ELECTROSHOCK - cut into right hind. Scratched: LONELY ARETHEBRAVE - injured in transit.
