The start of this Race was delayed due to JOLLY RHUBINO being unruly and having to be saddled outside of the designated area. Thereafter JOLLY RHUBINO refused to proceed to the start and had to be led. The start was further delayed due to the withdrawal of MR HURRICANE and FALL OF TROY. MR HURRICANE reared in the pens and injured itself. Trainer Sage to be advised that this gelding must be re-schooled prior to its next engagement. FALL OF TROY refused to load. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn and FALL OF TROY may not be accepted to race until recertified tractable. JENNY GREEN stood, losing 4 to 5 lengths. Trainer Houdalakis was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. RAILS RUN and JOLLY RHUBINO were slow into stride. In view of JOLLY RHUBINO being reluctant to proceed and having to be led to the start, this gelding is suspended and may not be accepted to race until it is recertified tractable to proceed to the start on a race day. MALACHITE baulked for a clear run between the 500 metre mark and the 250 metre mark. NUGGETS baulked for a clear run between the 400 metre mark and the 200 metre mark. SHINE TIGER faltered shortly before the finish. SHINE TIGER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Scratched: MR HURRICANE - injured in pens. VAR BAY - bruised left fore sole. FALL OF TROY - intractable. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
