The start of this Race was delayed due to SKRIK VIR NIKS proving difficult proceeding to the start, he had to be led, riderless, to the start. SECRET LOVER was slow into stride. GO SHORTY lost 1 length. TRIAD OF FORTUNE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TRIAD OF FORTUNE returned post- race having cast the right hind shoe. GREEN DOOR and RACING FOR FUN raced green. SKRIK VIR NIKS was hanging out over the final 400 metres. SILFRA shifted in at approximately the 900 metre mark, carrying MASTER OF ROCK inwards, resulting in MASTER OF ROCK having to ease. SILFRA, hanging in, shifted in at approximately the 200 metre mark, making contact with TRIAD OF FORTUNE, resulting in TRIAD OF FORTUNE becoming unbalanced. Apprentice Murray signed an Admission of Guilt for a Warning for a contravention in that, whilst riding SILFRA, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the runners on his inside at the 200 metre mark. In view of MASTER OF ROCK performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. Apprentice Murray signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that, as the rider of SILFRA, he failed to ensure that his mount kept to a straight course, parallel to the running rail for the first 200 metres of the race. GO RICHIE shifted in from the crop, making contact with GREEN DOOR at the 50 metre mark. Trainer Van Zyl was questioned regarding the improved performance of TRIAD OF FORTUNE in today's race compared with his previous race on the 11 June 2014. He explained to the Board that this colt did not act on the Polytrack on his debut. His explanation has been noted. SKRIK VIR NIKS was suspended indefinitely until he proceeds to the start to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Board on a race day. Vet: MASTER OF ROCK - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: MUSUCHELALOMISSUS - shin sore.
