TOBESURETOBESURE was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, was declared fit to race, causing a delay. BYE BYE BLACK BIRD jumped outwards, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. DUCHESS ROSITA was slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. The start time of this race was rescheduled due to the Veterinary Surgeon at the start examining TOBESURETOBESURE. Jockey Morgenrood reported that he felt something amiss with LOVE TO TANGO in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. BYE BYE BLACK BIRD was difficult to settle in the early stages and raced to the front of the field at the 1400m and thereafter compounded from the 300m. DUCHESS ROSITA over-raced in the early stages and was baulked for a clear run for a number of strides at the 250m. In view of the report from the Veterinary Surgeon regarding LOVE TO TANGO, Trainer Burger will be advised that he will be required to notify the Stipendiary Board when he next enters LOVE TO TANGO in order that a Member of the Stipendiary Board and a nominated Veterinary Surgeon, may pass her fit to race. TOBESURETOESURE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: BYE BYE BLACK BIRD - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. LOVE TO TANGO - returned coughing. Scratched: SHAKESPEAR'S LADY - lame left fore. BORINDIAN - under Veterinary treatment.
