MAXIMUM JET and BLACK KITTEN were restless in the stalls. In view of the performance from MAXIMUM JET, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. PAN AMM had to check at the 1400m to avoid the heels of BUTTERFLY GIRL, which was carried inwards by RUSHINTOTHEWIND, which shifted inwards when insufficiently clear. Jockey Wright, the rider of RUSHINTOTHEWIND, was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners when he shifted inwards at the 1400m. Jockey Wright signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. PRICELESS JEWEL and BUTTERFLY GIRL were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The Club's Medical Officer stood down Jockey Puller for the remainder of the day on medical grounds. Vet: MAXIMUM JET - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
