LIETUVA had to be re-saddled at the start causing a slight delay. CAPTAIN'S ORDERS reared in the stalls. SAIL FOR GOLD, which was restless in the stalls, was slow into stride. ELITE CLASS jumped awkwardly, losing one length. In view of the performance from STORMING HOME, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt and submit a report. The flash noseband on ELITE CLASS became loose shortly after the start and this colt raced awkwardly for some distance between the 1300m and 1000m. ELITE CLASS and GRAPE VINE had to steady approaching the 900m when awkwardly placed in restricted galloping room on the inside of STORMING HOME, which rolled in slightly. CHARLES LYTTON and CAPTAIN'S ORDERS were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: STORMING HOME - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
