DIOCESE was stubborn loading. The start of this race was delayed due to the Course Farrier having to attend to the hind shoes of MONEY NEVER SLEEPS and further delayed having to re-fit the tongue tie on ASGARD. CALL OF THE HUNT eased for several strides from SUPER SEVEN (AUS) shifting inwards at the 1000 metre mark. Apprentice Mo was brought before the Board, shown the Patrol Film of this incident and advised to take more care when shifting ground in future. PONTEDERA compounded at the 550 metre mark, which resulted in SARTORIUS having to ease for several strides. DIOCESE raced wide on the turn. Apprentice Fortune signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he rode COME PLAY in an unprofessional manner by dropping his crop at the 350 metre mark. He was given a Warning. Jockey Minnie reported that MAGNOLIA MAN was making an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. DAVIE BOWY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PONTEDERA - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. MAGNOLIA MAN - abnormal respiratory noise. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
