BOSTON PARTICLE, BUSHFIGHTER and POWER TO PLEASE reared in the stalls, were taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded, causing a delay. Trainers Prestage, Ennion and Puller will be advised to have these colts re-schooled before their next engagement. NIGHT IN SEATTLE and VERY CLEVER jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths and thereafter were slow into stride. In view of the performance from DYNASTY JO, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt and submit a report. Jockey Behr reported that KURUNDU did not stride out freely in running. Jockey Neisius reported that he felt something amiss with POWER TO PLEASE in running and did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt and submit a report. Trainer Puller was requested to report on this colt's condition on his return to the stable. ALPHA PEGASI and NIGHT IN SEATTLE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DYNASTY JO and POWER TO PLEASE - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. KURUNDU - returned striding short behind.
