In view of the report from the Veterinary Surgeon regarding EMBLEM'S STAR, Trainer Burger has been advised that he will be required to notify the Stipendiary Board when he next enters EMBLEM'S STAR, in order that the Stipendiary Board and a nominated Veterinary Surgeon may pass her fit to race. Jockey Puller reported that SHELOVESMEBACK, which raced wide on the bend, tired quickly in the straight and as a result he did not persevere with his riding. Jockey Behr reported that he felt something amiss with FAR HILLS and did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. In view of the performances from PEARLY MOON and KIND LADY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses and submit a report. MADAME ROONEY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PEARLY MOON, SHELOVESMEBACK, KIND LADY and FAR HILL - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: EMBLEM'S STAR - wound on the right hind.
