NIGHT FALL was stubborn loading and jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. Trainer Janse van Vuuren was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. MAYFLEUR was restless in the pens. Assistant Trainer Azzie was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. LUCKY MOJO and PICK OF THE FIELD were slow, losing two lengths. LUCKY MOJO and ROYAL CONSORT raced with a tongue tie. As a result of NIGHT FALL jumping awkwardly, Jockey Lerena's right knee struck the front gate resulting in him being unable to fully assist his mount in the latter stages. Jockey Lerena was examined and treated by the Course Medical Officer who passed him fit to continue riding. NIGHT FALL raced green. LUCKY MOJO and JAY RIVER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: LUCKY MOJO and BALLERINI - abnormal respiratory noise.
