EVIL WOMAN jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the performances from LADY AMI, DESTINATION KNYSNA and DARE TO RUN, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies and submit a report. STAR OF EQUUS had to steady momentarily leaving the 1300m off the heels of LADY AMI, which shifted inwards when just not clear. Apprentice Carstens, the rider of LADY AMI, appeared before the Board and was advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear of other runners before shifting ground. MIDNIGHT MAGENTA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: LADY AMI - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. DESTINATION KNYSNA - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. DARE TO RUN - returned unlevel behind.
