BORN TO BE QUEEN jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. QUE FOR YOU jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. QUE FOR YOU raced green. A MOMENT APART was baulked for a clear run and switched in at the 300m. Jockey de Melo, the rider of BORN TO BE QUEEN, reported that this filly took no interest and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. Jockey Mbhele was charged with a contravention in that he struck ROYAL WINDSOR more than 12 times in the entire race and more than three times on consecutive strides in the latter stages. Jockey Mbhele signed an admission of guilt and was fined. DOUBLE REWARD and ROYAL WINDSOR were was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: BORN TO BE QUEEN - nothing obvious detected.
