The start of this race was delayed at the request of the Operator. DUCHESS CATHERINE broke through the front gate, restrained by the Rider, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. GOLDEN ASSEMBLY, SHE'S AMAZING, DASHING QUEEN and DUCHESS CATHERINE were slow into stride. DASHING QUEEN as the start was effected; Jockey Pretorius lost his left side stirrup iron which he regained shortly thereafter. SHE'S AMAZING raced equipped with pacifiers. RUN GIRL WILD raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. GOLDEN ASSEMBLY and ABU MASHAR were pulling hard in the early stages. JET FOR JOY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JET FOR JOY raced without a tongue tie. Vet: DASHING QUEEN - mouth injury. Scratched: CAT BELLE - coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
