CHAPPEL HILL jumped awkwardly inwards, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. PETARA was slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Neisius reported that he felt something amiss with SIX OF THE BEST in running. Jockey Wright reported that he felt something amiss with DENIA TIBBS in running. Jockey van Niekerk reported that he felt something amiss with HOPEITSAPRIZE (ARG) in running. DAVYANA was hanging out in the closing stages. Apprentice Carstens, the rider of DISNEY QUEEN, appeared before the Board and was spoken to regarding the use of his crop in the closing stages. LITETHENITE was difficult to settle in the early stages. PETARA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SIX OF THE BEST and DENIA TIBBS - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. HOPEITSAPRIZE (ARG) - returned coughing post race. Scratched: SAINT SOPHIA - virus. CLOCKWINDER - no suitable jockey at the weight.
