POWERTRIP jumped inwards and was slow into stride. In view of the performances from STAR OF EQUUS and DESTINATION KNYSNA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies and submit a report. Jockey Behr, the rider of JUST LIKE HONEY, and Jockey Neisius, the rider of COLOUR MAGIC, reported that their fillies did not act in the prevailing heavy underfoot conditions. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine COLOUR MAGIC and submit a report. LADY GRACA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: STAR OF EQUUS and COLOUR MAGIC - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. DESTINATION KNYSNA - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise.
