At approximately the 150m AFTERNOON TEA was bumped by SWEET FUTURE, which shifted out away from the crop. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, AFTERNOON TEA was bumped again by SWEET FUTURE, which shifted out away from the crop. Shortly thereafter these two fillies came together and bumped. An objection was lodged by Trainer Azzie, on behalf of SWEET FUTURE, against AFTERNOON TEA, being declared the winner, on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections of both horses and reviewing the patrol film of the incident, was of the opinion that SWEET FUTURE bumped AFTERNOON TEA on at least two occasions and was the offender in this incident. The objection was overruled and the result allowed to stand. As the Objection Board felt that the objection was unwarranted, declared Trainer Azzie's deposit forfeit. AFTERNOON TEA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
