CATTLE KING stood, losing 8 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. SACRED JEWEL flyjumped leaving the stalls, losing 1 length. MANDOLIN RAIN lost 1 length. SACRED JEWEL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KING PROTEA was pulling hard in the early and middle stages. TORCH QUEEN raced wide on the bend and into the straight. Apprentice Murray reported that TORCH QUEEN coughed at the pull-up. In view of the performance of ARGO'S JET, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. FIRST FLIGHT, shifted out slightly, simultaneously ARGO'S JET shifted inwards, resulting in ARGO'S JET and DELRAY BEACH brushing on a number of occasions between the 400 and 300 metre marks. In view of the Starter's report concerning CATTLE KING, the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable to jump on terms with a companion. Vet: ARGO'S JET - blowing. CATTLE KING and TORCH QUEEN - coughing. Scratched: RISKY ROSCO - Urticaria.
