CANADIAN DOLLAR was restless in the stalls. GRAPE VINE was slow, losing one length. SEIZE THE THRONE jumped outwards and squeezed out CASTLE, which was restless in the stalls. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that REBEL HOUSE changed stride continually in running. RUNNING BACK had to steady at the 200m to avoid the heels of SEIZE THE THRONE, which was carried inwards when it was brushed by HASHIM, which in turn was carried inwards by CANADIAN DOLLAR, which shifted inwards and was immediately straightened. Jockey van Niekerk, the rider of CANADIAN DOLLAR, appeared before the Board and was advised to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. Jockey Teetan was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline C, Appendix L, in that he misused his crop by hitting CASTLE more than three times on consecutive strides in the concluding stages. Jockey Teetan signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. MOONLIGHT RUNNER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The Ownership of REBEL HOUSE should read: Mrs I Jooste and Mr M J Jooste. Colours unchanged. Vet: REBEL HOUSE - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. HASHIM - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise, and in respiratory distress. Scratched: FULL COURT - lame right fore. BOHEMIAN GOLD - coughing.
