RIO CARNIVAL (AUS) and CAPTAIN ON THE RUN were slow into stride. ISLAND FIESTA and TIPO TINTO (AUS) were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ALDRIC faltered at approximately the 800 metre mark and as a result was not fully persevered with thereafter. As a result RIO CARNIVAL (AUS) was switched out off the heels of ALDRIC. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine ALDRIC. Trainer Goodman was requested to report back to the Board should he find anything amiss with ALDRIC post race. TIPO TINTO (AUS) baulked for a clear run for a number of strides approaching the 200 metre mark. Jockey Delpech reported that FLYFIRSTCLASS was not striding out freely in the latter stages and as a result he did not persevere with his ride. Jockey Marcus reported that RIO CARNIVAL (AUS) resented the kickback. Vet: ALDRIC - nothing obvious detected. FLYFIRSTCLASS - not striding out right hind. Scratched: ADMIRAL'S EYE - not eating up.
