MR G was reluctant to load, fractious in the stalls, intractable, causing a delay. Trainer Crawford will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. TITANIUM TIGER was restless in the stalls. Jockey Morgenrood reported that TITANIUM TIGER did not stride out freely in running. In view of the performances from ILLINOIS and STORMING HOME, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses and submit a report. EXCLUSIVE KNIGHT and EVEN SO, which was hanging out, came together approaching the 200m. Jockey Fayd'Herbe was questioned regarding his riding of REBEL HOUSE. Jockey Fayd'Herbe told the Stewards that this gelding had shown a tendency to over-race in the early stages and he had been content to race clear of the field in the hope that he would be able to sustain his lead in the home straight. He told the Stewards that the gelding had tired from the 300m and in his opinion it had perhaps over extended itself in the early and middle stages. His explanation was noted. CASTLE and EVEN SO were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ILLINOIS, TITANIUM TIGER and STORMING HOME - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
