The start of this race was delayed due to delay in Race 5. PRICELESS GEM and GANDOLF THE GREAT were slow into stride. TARGET FIVE, FORESTRY LAW and ROY'S JET all lost 1 length. WARCRAFT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Wright was questioned regarding the improved performance of WARCRAFT, the winner, compared to this gelding's previous run on the 30th July 2014. She explained that that run was this gelding's second run after a lay-off and that he had raced wide and compounded in the latter stages. The Board have adjourned to review the patrol video of WARCRAFT'S run on the 30th July 2014. NORDIC JET and PRICELESS GEM were hanging in, in the latter stages. In view of the performances of TARGET FIVE and SIDDHARTH, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. Jockey Cormack reported that ROY'S JET was not striding out freely in running. Vet: SIDDHARTH and TARGET FIVE - nothing obvious detected. ROY'S JET - not striding out right hind. MODERN ROYAL - abnormal respiratory noise.
