READY TO ROCK was restless in the stalls and jumped awkwardly, losing one length. SOVEREIGN SPEECH and QUEBIANGO were restless in the stalls. SO SUSPECT was slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. LATERAL'S DAUGHTER was steadied at the 400m off the heels of SOVEREIGN SPEECH, which shifted inwards when just not clear. In view of the performances from LATERAL'S DAUGHTER and SO SUSPECT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies and submit a report. Jockey Neisius, the rider of QUEBIANGO, reported that the bit pulled through this filly's mouth in running which made her difficult to assist. Jockey Anthony was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline G, Appendix L, in that he misused his crop by hitting SO SUSPECT when out of contention for a place. Jockey Anthony signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. CRYSTAL CAVERN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: READY TO ROCK - returned not striding out on the right hind. LATERAL'S DAUGHTER - returned cut into on the left hind. SO SUSPECT - was inspected post race and no abnormalities were detected.
