WINNING EDGE and TRIPLICATION were slow into stride. THE REAL HERO lost 1 length. TOLD YOU SO lost 2 lengths. GAMELOFT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Howells was questioned regarding the improved performance of GAMELOFT, compared to this colt's previous run on the 10.8.2014. Mr Howells explained that the noted drop in merit rating together with the claiming apprentice and the weaker field today had, in his opinion, contributed to this colt's improved performance. Mr Howells' explanation has been noted. In view of the performance of TOLD YOU SO, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Kennedy reported that TRIPLICATION was making an abnormal respiratory noise post race. TRIPLICATION raced fitted with alumites. Vet: TOLD YOU SO - nothing obvious detected. THE REAL HERO - mouth injury. TRIPLICATION - not striding out left hind. Scratched: RUN SOFTLY - not eating up.
