TRAVELLING MULLINS, ABDICATE and KALIDAR all lost 1 length. BEZ-ART was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Egdes was questioned regarding the improved performance of BEZ-ART Mr Egdes could offer no suitable explanation other than this gelding may have been suited to the polytrack. The future performances of this gelding will be monitored by the Stipendiary Board. TRAVELLING MULLINS was hanging out on the bend. NOTTINGHAM FOREST was switched out at approximately the 300 metre mark to obtain a clear run, resulting in NISHAC having to be eased off the heels of NOTTINGHAM FOREST. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. NOTTINGHAM FOREST faltered and became unbalanced for no apparent reason at approximately the 200 metre mark. KALIDAR became baulked and was switched in to obtain a clear run approaching the 100 metre mark. JAY BOY became cramped for galloping room for a number of strides at approximately the 50 metre mark. Apprentice Claassen, the rider of BEZ-ART, signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that he made a celebratory gesture shortly before the finish line. Vet: TRAVELLING MULLINS - coughing. Scratched: CHILLINGHAM - lame left hind. MFUYI - sore back. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure with the exception of TEXAS COWBOY (Trainer A Rivalland which was identified by means of a microchip number (due to Trainer being delayed in traffic jam due to an accident).
