FLASH DRIVE and HEADSTRONG HARRY jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride. Jockey Winnaar reported that LUXARDO changed stride continually in running. In view of the performance from RICHARD STRAUSS (ARG), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. Jockey Fayd'Herbe appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his riding of FLASH DRIVE. When questioned regarding the improved performance from REIM today compared to its previous race on 3/8/2014, at Kenilworth over 1600m, when it finished 11.80 lengths behind the winner, Trainer Puller told the Stewards that this gelding had not shown interest in its previous run in heavy going, and for today's race he had equipped REIM with blinkers over 1200m where she had shown interest and had run on strongly. The Board noted his explanation and drew his attention to inconsistent form and the future performances of REIM will be monitored. REIM and SINGING RIVER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Marshall reported that ZINNAVAR returned lame on the left hind leg. Vet: RICHARD STRAUSS (ARG) - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. LUXARDO - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. HEADSTRONG HARRY - returned with a head injury.
