BLACK BELUGA cast the left fore shoe on the way to the start, which the farrier had to replace, causing a delay. In view of the performance from ROBERTSON, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. DOGMATISM was carried outwards at the 200m by CHARLES LYTTON, which rolled out away from VALERIN, which rolled outwards. SHEPHERDS PURSE was held up for a clear run at the 300m and at the 100m had to steady to avoid the heels of CHESTER'S WISH, which rolled in slightly. CHARLES LYTTON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ROBERTSON - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
