GARDEN TREASURE, THE QUEEN and BEZ VALLEY were slow into stride. THE QUEEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Bosch was questioned with regard to the improved performance of THE QUEEN, the winner, compared to this filly's previous run on the 10 August 2014. He explained that this was THE QUEEN'S first run on the polytrack and after stumbling leaving the stalls she had suffered interference on the bend and had lost position. The Board noted his explanation. FLYING LOOT (AUS) was hanging out in the latter stages. THE QUEEN was switched in to obtain a clear run at approximately the 150 metre mark brushing GARDEN TREASURE. ROYAL HONEYMOON shifted out slightly shortly before the finish, causing TRIPLE O SEVEN to duck outwards. As a result TRIPLE O SEVEN and REIGNING WIND made contact, and REIGNING WIND became cramped for galloping room brushing COOL ANNE. In view of the performance of ESTONIA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Yeni reported that STAR EMPRESS was making an abnormal respiratory noise and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the latter stages. ESTONIA raced equipped with pacifiers. STAR EMPRESS raced with a tongue tie. Vet: ESTONIA and STAR EMPRESS - nothing obvious detected. HERE WE ARE - coughing. Scratched: CAYENNE - not eating up.
