The start of this race was delayed due to GREY MIRAGE AND SUZIE'S ARROW proving difficult to load. GREY MIRAGE and SUZIE'S ARROW were stubborn loading. DUBLIN REBEL, EIGHT STORIES (AUS) and SEVEN ROSES lost 1 to 2 lengths. An inquiry will be held into Jockey Little's conduct at the start. GULLIVERS TRAVEL over-raced in the early stages. CANDY ROCK (AUS) raced green. Jockey Little reported he felt something amiss with GREY MIRAGE and did not persevere with his mount in the latter stages. Trainer Janse van Vuuren was requested to report back should he find anything untoward with GREY MIRAGE on return to the stables. Jockey Lerena reported he felt something amiss with STARCRAFT PRINCE (AUS). THE CAPTAIN'S was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GULLIVERS TRAVEL is a gelding. Vet: EIGHT STORIES (AUS) - not striding out left fore. STARCRAFT PRINCE (AUS) - examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
