WARCRAFT was restless in the stalls. ETON MESS, DE LA DANZA (AUS) and TARGET FIVE were slow into stride. AIR PATROL lost 1 length. BEEWITHME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Howells was questioned regarding the improved performance of BEEWITHME, compared to this gelding's previous run on the 31st August 2014. Mr Howells explained that that run was his first after a lay-off and the first time that this gelding had run on the poly-track. He was further of the opinion that this gelding is better suited to the longer distance of today's race. Mr Howells' explanation was noted. TARGET FIVE was pulling hard in the early and middle stages, difficult to restrain. BEEWITHME returned post race having cast the left fore shoe. Vet: AIR PATROL - Mild respiratory noise. BEEWITHME - speedy cut (over-reach) left fore. Scratched: SPARKLING WOOD - coughing. WESTERN DANE - sold without engagement.
