KATANGA and PRECIOUS PRISCILLA were slow into stride. COUNTESS KATE was slow, losing 2 to 3 lengths. Jockey Yeni reported that KATANGA was not striding out and he did not persevere with his mount in the latter stages. In view of the performance of ALL THE TENS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer Prinsloo to be questioned regarding this filly's performance. Jockey Nyawo reported he felt something amiss with FIT TO FLIGHT and he did not persevere with his mount in the latter stages. Trainer Cason to be questioned regarding this filly's performance. RAINBOW ARROW was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KATANGA - speedy cut left fore. PRECIOUS PRISCILLA - overreach left fore. WITH PASSION - cut into right fore. ALL THE TENS and FIT TO FLIGHT - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
