DECKIE BOY dislodged Jockey Lerena on route to the start. Jockey Lerena was checked by the Course Medical Officer and passed fit to ride and DECKIE BOY was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run. BLACK POSEIDON jumped awkwardly. HUNTER VALLEY and OLYMPIC BOLT (BRZ) were slow into stride. NAD'S PRIDE raced without cheek pieces. Jockey Aucharuz, the rider of NAD'S PRIDE, was charged with a contravention in that he failed to present his Medical Record Book to the Clerk of Scales at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the first race in which he had an engagement. Jockey Aucharuz signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. DECKIE BOY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The new Ownership of ORIENTAL BLUE should read: Messrs A B Giuricich, B G Gardner, K W Michael & G P Sadie & Mrs J P Gardner; and the Colours are: black and white stripes, shocking pink sleeves and cap.
