GAZUNDER arrived at the start late. QUEBIANGO, which was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly outwards and thereafter was slow into stride. GAZUNDER was reluctant to proceed to the start. Trainer Kotzen will be advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended. DANCING INTHE SNOW commenced to give ground from the 400m and Jockey Fayd'Herbe, under the impression that this filly was not striding out freely, did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. The filly was subsequently detained to enable the Veterinary Surgeon to further examine her after she had cooled down. JAMINNA and ALZERRA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DANCING INTHE SNOW - was inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. DANCING INTHE SNOW - was re-examined at 15h00 and no obvious abnormalities were detected. (Heart rate normal recovery, rate and rhythm. Trotted sound in hand). Scratched: BEACH GODDESS - lame left hind. SKYLAR LANE - injured left hind.
