LILY LAFITTE was reluctant to load, causing a delay and had to be hooded. Trainer Kotzen will be advised to have this mare re-schooled before her next engagement. LONDON THEATRE and BE FABULOUS jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride. Apprentice Carstens reported that THE QUEEN VIC made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. THE QUEEN VIC took an awkward stride at the 1500m. Jockey Anthony, the rider of LONDON THEATRE, appeared before the Board and was advised to ride his mounts with sufficient vigour and determination so as to leave no room for query from the Stewards. ZAKUSKA shifted in away from the crop approaching the 200m. Apprentice Goomany was advised to take reasonable measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. Apprentice Carstens was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline C, Appendix L, in that he misused his crop by hitting THE QUEEN VIC more than three times on consecutive strides in the early stages. Apprentice Carstens signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. BE FABULOUS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: THE QUEEN VIC - returned choked up. Scratched: WANDA - Urticaria. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
