FORT BAY and MUSUCHELALOMISSUS were slow into stride. MARHOOB (AUS) lost one length. READY FOR TAKE OFF was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Wright was questioned with regard to the improved performance of READY FOR TAKE OFF, the winner, compared to this colt's previous performance on the 23 September 2014. He explained that in this colt's previous performance, he had fitted the blinkers for the first time and in his opinion READY FOR TAKE OFF over-raced and compounded in the latter stages. For today's run, he raced this colt without blinkers and this in his opinion attributed to the improvement shown. The Board noted his explanation and advised Mr Wright to race READY FOR TAKE OFF without blinkers in the immediate future. In view of the performances of MOI POWER, TEXAS COWBOY and IT'S THE ANSWER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. The Ownership of JEDAK should read: Mr L Govender & Miss Keshini Govender, Messrs S H Franken & P T Reilly; and the Colours are: royal blue, shocking pink rings, royal blue sleeves, shocking pink spots, royal blue cap, shocking pink spots. FORT BAY and MARHOOB (AUS) are geldings and not colts as carded. Vet: MOI POWER - not striding out right hind. TEXAS COWBOY - not striding out right hind. IT'S THE ANSWER - not striding left fore. MARHOOB (AUS) - coughing, not striding out right hind and mild abnormal respiratory noise.
