The start of this race was delayed at the request of the Racing Operator. MISSMASALA and CHOCOLATE ECLAIR were slow into stride. QUEEN ELIZA raced equipped with cheek pieces. Jockey Simons reported that SILENT RUSH was not striding out. CROWN OF ROSES shifted out at approximately the 100 metre mark, carrying BERNADINE (AUS) out. An objection was lodged by Trainer Tarry, trainer of BERNADINE (AUS), against CROWN OF ROSES being declared the winner on the grounds of intimidation and interference in the latter stages. The Board, after viewing the patrol films and hearing the evidence presented, were of the opinion that but for the interference, BERNADINE (AUS) would not have finished in front of CROWN OF ROSES and therefore overruled the objection. The judge's result stands. The objection deposit fee was refunded. CROWN OF ROSES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SILENT RUSH - not striding out left fore.
