STACKED BY SEATTLE and VITORIA were slow, losing one length. HAZELNUT was restless in the stalls. CAROUSEL SWING was slow into stride. In view of the performance from HAZELNUT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. Jockey Behr reported that BLACK BELVEDERE coughed in the pull up. The saddle on DOMINA slipped forward badly shortly after the start, which placed Jockey Noach at a severe disadvantage. SWEET SASHA showed a tendency to hang out in the straight, and was switched out to continue its run approaching the 100m. In the concluding stages SWEET SASHA was awkwardly placed on the heels of SHINGLE BEACH, which shifted in from the crop, which resulted in Jockey Neisius being unable to ride his mount to the finish. VITORIA raced wide into the straight. In view of the report from the Veterinary Surgeon regarding HAZELNUT, and in view of this filly's previous history of making an abnormal respiratory noise, Trainer Ennion has been advised that he will be required to submit an endoscopic examination report, and to notify the Stipendiary Board when he next enters HAZELNUT, in order that the Stipendiary Board and a nominated Veterinary Surgeon may pass her fit to race. SHINGLE BEACH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: HAZELNUT - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. BLACK BELVEDERE - no coughing heard post race, was inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. CAROUSEL SWING - returned in season. Scratched: SPRING DAWN - not eating up.
