NIGHT LOCK, ROYALSECURITYJET (AUS) and BATTLE HAMMER lost 1 length. MR ROYAL (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BATTLE HAMMER took no interest in running. BODYBUILDER raced wide in the early and middle stages. Jockey Kennedy reported that entering the straight, when encouraging ROYALSECURITYJET (AUS) and whilst losing ground to the field, ROYALSECURITYJET (AUS) faltered. Thereafter he did not persevere with his ride. HOUSECARL compounded in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Delpech, the rider of GOOD IDEA, reported that his saddle slipped back in running. HOUSECARL did not race with his tongue tied down. Vet: ROYALSECURITYJET (AUS) - Epistaxis, 90 day suspension. BATTLE HAMMER - not striding out left hind. HOUSECARL - nothing obvious detected. NIGHT TIDE - blowing. NIGHT LOCK and MR ROYAL (AUS) - coughing. Scratched: TRUE STRENGTH - lame right fore. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure with the exception of DIANA'S JET (Race 4 - M de Kock), ROYALSECURITYSTAR (Race 6 - K Naidoo) and CLOAK (Race 6- Trainer G van Zyl) who were identified by means of microchip numbers.
