The start of this race was delayed for a section of rail at the 1000 metre mark to be checked and for a golf ball to be removed off the track before loading could commence. LA PRIMA and RAVISHING LIZZY were slow into stride. BLACK PHANTOM lost 2 lengths. WINTER WOOD dwelt, losing 3 lengths. IN SIXTY SECONDS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performance of SMOKETHATTHUNDERS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Marcus, the rider of IN SIXTY SECONDS, reported that his saddle slipped backwards shortly after the start was effected. BLACK PHANTOM took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Vet: SMOKETHATTHUNDERS - coughing. SILVER INSPIRATION - speedy cut left hind. BLACK PHANTOM - not striding out right fore.
