UMSHINI WAMI and CAPTAIN BLACKJACK were slow into stride. BILLY GOAT lost one length. JUST ASK ME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SAN DIEGO raced green. Apprentice Murray reported that RAGGIE'S REVENGE was not striding out freely in the latter stages. AMAS AMAT shifted in at approximately the 1000 metre mark, resulting in FORWARD ZONE easing and clipping the heels of AMAS AMAT and becoming unbalanced. This resulted in RAGGIE'S REVENGE being forced to ease, and LIAISON making contact with the inside running rail, becoming unbalanced and losing position. UMSHINI WAMI, racing directly behind LIAISON, was forced to ease, losing position. Jockey Latham signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of AMAS AMAT, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses FORWARD ZONE, RAGGIE'S REVENGE, LIAISON and UMSHINI WAMI at approximately the 1000 metre mark. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. POETIC JUSTICE raced without a tongue tie. Vet: RAGGIE'S REVENGE - no significant finding. CAPTAIN BLACKJACK - coughing.
