NEW MOON RISING was slow, losing two lengths. Jockey Byleveld reported that MUSKETS 'N ROSES changed legs continually in running. Jockey Behr reported that he felt something amiss with GORR in running. CHESTER'S WISH was forced to check, approaching the 1000m, off the heels of CORNY AL, which shifted inwards when not sufficiently clear. Apprentice van der Hoven, the rider of CORNY AL, was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CHESTER'S WISH when he shifted inwards at the 1000m. Apprentice van der Hoven signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended for a period of seven days. CAPTAIN ALFREDO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MUSKETS 'N ROSES - inspected post race with no significant findings observed. GORR - Epistaxis and was suspended for 90 days. Scratched: LANE FROST - nasal discharge.
