REIGN, which was fractious in the stalls, was taken out and reloaded, jumped awkwardly outwards losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer Kannemeyer will be advised that this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. WAYWARD jumped awkwardly outwards, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. KARKLOOF, which was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly outwards, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the performances from CARMEN SILVER and WAYWARD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies and submit a report. Jockey Behr reported that KARKLOOF did not stride out freely in running. Apprentice van der Hoven reported that VICTORIA MONTANA choked up in running. GOLDANDSILVER was brushed leaving the 500m by SPORTTORIO, which shifted inwards. Jockey van Niekerk, the rider of SPORTTORIO, appeared before the Board regarding this incident and was advised to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. BOUNTIFUL HARVEST had to steady approaching the 200m to avoid the heels of TRILATERAL, which rolled in away from ALPINE CAT, which rolled in slightly. GOLDANDSILVER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KARKLOOF, CARMEN SILVER and WAYWARD - inspected post race with no significant findings observed. VICTORIA MONTANA - returned bleeding from the mouth. Scratched: CASEYS RAINE - lame left fore.
