IRISH MYTH was restless in the stalls. PRINCESS SALME, which was restless in the stalls, was slow into stride. PETTY OFFICER jumped awkwardly and brushed the side of the stalls, losing one length. In view of the performances from IRISH MYTH and NONKI POO, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses and submit a report. Apprentice Goomany was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline C, Appendix L, in that he misused his crop by hitting RUSHINTOTHEWIND more than three times on consecutive strides in the concluding stages. Apprentice Goomany signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. ABBEY CREEK and PETTY OFFICER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. IRISH MYTH - inspected post race with no significant findings observed. NONKI POO - returned not striding out behind.
