WANDA jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. MISS LINK raced with her tongue over the bit and was hanging out throughout. Jockey Cheyne reported that due to MISS LINK hanging out badly, he was unable to assist his mount in the closing stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. Trainer van Reenen was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the filly's condition on her return to the stable. DE SOL A SOL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MISS LINK - inspected post race with no significant findings observed.
