The start of this Race was delayed due to POWER JET and RIVER TRIP proving difficult to load. POWER JET was stubborn loading. Trainer Erasmus was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. RIVER TRIP was stubborn loading; lost 1 length. Apprentice Ramsamy reported the POWER JET made a respiratory noise. Apprentice Storey reported that MOGOK'S DESIRE made a respiratory noise and not striding out. Trainer Erasmus was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board should he find anything untoward with MOGOK'S DESIRE on return to the stables. In view of the performance of ATSO TIME, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. GREASEPAINT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: POWER JET - abnormal respiratory noise. MOGOK'S DESIRE - examined post race, no significant findings. ATSO TIME - not striding out both fore.
