The start of this Race was delayed as a result of the horse ambulance having to attend to a horse at the pull-up area, which resulted in the horses leaving the parade ring late. ISWITHI (AUS) stood, losing six lengths. Trainer Naidoo was advised to re-school this filly. OLMA and LADY REDOUTE (AUS) were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LADY REDOUTE (AUS), after Apprentice Dillon had improved her position, shifted in at approximately the 700 metre mark, resulting in SHIVRANI having to be steadied and be switched out to avoid the heels of LADY REDOUTE (AUS). Thereafter OLMA was hanging out on the latter part of the bend and shifted out slightly inconveniencing SHIVRANI. Apprentice Dillon, the rider of LADY REDOUTE (AUS), appeared before the Board with regard to the first part of the above incident and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear before he allows his mounts to shift ground in races in future. Scratched: STORM COAST - elevated temperature. ASCOT CHARM - swollen right hind hock.
